The representative of AS “UniCredit Bank” – the winner of “Lithuanian Banks Cup 2008”

On Saturday, May 11 at the hall of "Vilniaus įgulos karininkų ramovė" the second chess tournament "Lithuanian Banks Cup 2008" was held. In team and personal account for the winner's cup competed thirty four representatives from ten Lithuanian banks.

In personal account after very pressing internecine battle three participants of the tournament got 6 point from the 7 possible. After considering the additional indicators the tournament won the representative of AS "UniCredit bank" Lithuania Branch - Irmantas Jasevičius, who was also one of the initiators of this tournament.

The second place was taken by the winner of the last year's banks' tournament in personal account, the representative of the Hansa Bank, Laimonas Kudžma, and the third place - by the debutant of the tournament, the representative of the Nordea Bank, Nerijus Mikelionis.

The tournament was organized by the Lithuanian Chess Federation.
